The Covey Center for the Arts in Provo is holding musical theater dance and ballet workshops for all ages.

The Covey Center for the Arts will offer dance workshops through the month of July for children, teens and adults.

From July 19-21, youths aged 5-12 can participate in the Kids Musical Theater Dance Workshop. The workshop is designed to give students the opportunity to learn more about musical theater and dance while honing their skills for future musical theater auditions.

Those age 13 and older can participate in the Teen/Adult Musical Theater Dance Workshop, which will be held on the same days. In this workshop, teens and adults will also learn more about musical theater dance and develop their skills for future musical theater auditions. Attendees will learn tips and tricks for picking up choreography combinations quickly and receive feedback on their performances.

The Kids Ballet Workshop, for children ages 5-12, and Teens Ballet Workshop, for ages 13-and-up, will give students a taste of what it might be like to be part of a real ballet. Each student will be given a role and learn short variations from the same ballet. Guests are welcome to watch them put these dances together during the last 20 minutes of class on the last day.

Both the workshops will also take place from July 26-28.

Workshop classes will take place at the Dance Studios at the Covey Center for the Arts. Registration is $30 for residents and $36 for non-residents. For more information or to register, visit coveycenter.org or call the Covey Center box office at 801-852-7007.
