“Our team is firmly committed to making kindness part of our DNA. We strive to train our employees to treat our guests and each other with kindness,” Casey Strong, director of community outreach, said in a press release. “Last year was our inaugural Summer Kindness Day and our employees and park guests loved the experience. We hope to continue the tradition as we feel we have a corporate responsibility to use our platform to promote kindness.”
Splash Summit is also accepting nominations for its Kindness Award, designed for “a community member who demonstrates exceptional kindness within the community.” Nominations will be accepted through Wednesday and can be sent via email to marketing@splashsummitresort.com.
“This isn’t just a water park business for us.” said park owner Spencer Shumway. “We want to elevate our employees and customers through initiatives that improve their lives. Summer Kindness Day is a cause that the entire community can truly get behind and we invite them to do so.”
Participating in the Splash Summit day of kindness will be this year’s Miss Provo, Glory Thomas, who founded a nonprofit with the same mission called “GLO with Kindness.”
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to join in the cause for kindness with my friends at Splash Summit,” Thomas said in a press release. “Organizations like these are stepping up and leading the way to help foster an environment for kindness to thrive.”
Throughout the rest of the day, Splash Summit and community partners will be “creating moments of kindness” both at the park and online, giving customers and employees chances to demonstrate kindness.
