Provo police are investigating a shooting incident after a 19-year-old man was brought into Utah Valley Regional Medical Center at around 11 p.m. Thursday.

Janelle-Lee Holland, Provo public information officer, said investigators believe the possible crime occurred in the south State Street area of Provo but are unable to provide a more precise location to the public. Police have yet to identify any suspects.

The victim is reported to be in critical but stable condition.
