Lehi High School went into a brief lockdown Tuesday morning after a student reportedly threatened to bring a gun to school.

It all stemmed from a fight that occurred Monday, according to Lehi City spokesperson Jeanteil Livingston. “The Police department received reports that there might be a problem today (Tuesday) due to a fight that occurred yesterday (Monday). And so today they did receive multiple reports that the person that threatened was at Lehi High and may have a gun,” Livingston told the Daily Herald.

Police locked down the school for a time while a sweep was conducted but neither the student who made the alleged threat nor a gun was located. Officers determined there was no threat and classes resumed as normal.

According the Lehi Police Department’s officials Facebook page, officers plan to follow up on the threat.

“Our paramount concern is the safety of the students, faculty, and visitors to the school. Should there be any further developments regarding the threats we will address them and keep the public advised,” the police department shared on its social media account.
