Utah County Administration Building reopens following electrical incident

An electrical surge generated “considerable” smoke Thursday but was contained by county workers before a fire occurred, the county said.
According to a release, the building was undergoing an electrical component upgrade process when the incident occurred. The Provo Fire Department responded to the scene.
The building was closed Friday to be inspected and repaired and to restore air quality.
Nobody was injured during the incident, and other county buildings next door were unaffected, the county said.
