In a thoughtful Wall Street Journal piece, Senator Mitt Romney posited, “[Republicans] can govern in the people’s interest or make a lot of pointless noise.” Unfortunately, those who wish to make noise and accomplish little will do so impulsively and with ease. We need a real leader to forge the harder path — governing in the people’s interest.

Senator Romney is a respected deal broker, gifted at solving hard problems. He should carry the conservative banner and deliver substantive wins in a divided Congress. Penalizing imports from prolific foreign emitters, restoring confidence in election integrity, and addressing the immigration crisis are all priorities for Republicans. You are right, the GOP is at a fork in the road. If you lead the responsible way forward, we’ll have your back.
