State rejects proposal for new town in Provo Canyon
The Utah lieutenant governor's office has rejected a proposal for a new municipality to be established on the Wasatch County side of Provo Canyon. A letter from the lieutenant governor's office last week rescinded a feasibility request issued June 25 for a preliminary municipality called Bear Canyon, citing the proposed boundaries' failure to satisfy the Utah Population Committee requirements.
