Snow College Fine Arts Division and Eccles Center present exciting lineup of performances

EPHRAIM — Snow College’s Fine Arts Division and Eccles Center for the Performing Arts are set to dazzle audiences with a series of captivating performances throughout April and May. From jazz concerts to theatrical productions, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The month of April kicks off with Jazz Combo Concerts on April 2 at 7:30 p.m., promising an enchanting evening filled with timeless jazz classics expertly interpreted by exceptionally gifted instrumentalists and vocalists. The concert, held at the Eccles Center Jorgensen Concert Hall, offers free admission, inviting music enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the mesmerizing allure of jazz.

Following the Jazz Combo Concerts, the Chamber Music Concerts take center stage on April 3 and 4 at 7:30 p.m., also at the Eccles Center Jorgensen Concert Hall. Audiences can experience the enchantment of chamber music with Snow College’s Chamber Music groups, showcasing a diverse range of sounds and styles. Admission is free for all.

On April 5, the Low Brass Collective takes the spotlight at 7:30 p.m. in the Eccles Center Larsen Recital Hall. This captivating spring recital features performances by talented students on trombone, tuba, and euphonium, offering an unforgettable evening of harmonious sounds. Admission is free.

For those in need of laughter, “Badgers in the Bathtub” delivers spontaneous sketches inspired by audience suggestions. Formerly known as L.T.I., this Improv Team from Snow College promises fresh, exciting, and hysterical performances at the Eccles Center Haslam Black Box Theatre on select Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. Admission is just $1 at the door.

Music enthusiasts can mark their calendars for the Jazz Big Band Concert on April 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Eccles Center Jorgensen Concert Hall. The Snow College Jazz Big Band is set to deliver an unforgettable evening of smooth sounds and electrifying rhythms, showcasing unmatched musicianship and sheer passion for music.

Other April highlights include the Songwriters Showcase on April 11, Toe Tappin’ Fun with Symphony and Chamber Orchestras on April 12, and Studio Blue Commercial Music Ensemble Concert on April 18, all offering unique musical experiences.

In addition to musical performances, theater enthusiasts can enjoy William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” from April 17 to 20 at the Eccles Center Kim Christison Theatre. Filled with memorable characters and hilarious misunderstandings, this comedic masterpiece promises to captivate audiences with its blend of comedy and romance.

The Snow College Spring Dance Concert on April 26 and 27 at the Eccles Center Kim Christison Theatre features some of the most talented dancers in the country, showcasing their skills in an electrifying display of artistry and athleticism.
