The annual Dutch Oven Cook-Off will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, beginning at 2 p.m. (judging at 4:30 p.m.) with entry forms available at the Fairgrounds Pavilion. Also on Saturday, Aug. 17, a live concert featuring country music artist Charley Jenkins will be presented at 7 p.m. in the Fairgrounds Arena. Tickets may be purchased at sanpetecountyfair.net.

The events will continue through next week, culminating with the annual Sanpete County Fair RMPRA Rodeo on Thursday and Saturday, Aug. 22 and 24 at 7 p.m. at the Fairgrounds Arena. Tickets are available on the fair website.

Carnival day passes are also now available for purchase on the fair website at $30 each. The passes may be used once for any of the three days of the carnival. This year’s carnival will be open on Thursday, Aug. 22, beginning at 4 p.m.; Friday, Aug. 23, beginning at 3 p.m.; and Saturday, Aug. 24, beginning at noon.

Tickets are also on sale at the fair website for the Demolition Derby planned for Friday, Aug. 23, at the Fairgrounds Arena.

This year’s Junior Rodeo will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, in the Fairgrounds Arena. Events will include mutton bustin’, calf riding, steer riding, hide racing and junior and senior barrel racing.

The Exhibit Building will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 21, and that evening at 7 p.m. a new event, the ATV Rodeo, will be held in the Fairgrounds Arena. Gates open at 6 p.m. and admission is free.
