Snow College partners with Southern Utah University and Weber State University for exercise science transfers

By Staff | Jul 17, 2024

Snow College is pleased to announce that students who complete the Exercise Science program now have two additional transfer options.

EPHRAIM – Snow College is thrilled to announce new transfer agreements with Southern Utah University (SUU) and Weber State University, providing Exercise Science program graduates with guaranteed acceptance and a clear pathway to complete their bachelor’s or master’s degrees efficiently.

The agreement with Southern Utah University is a 2+2 Exercise Science degree program. Students will complete their associate degree and the required coursework in Exercise Science at Snow College during their first two years. Upon graduation, they will be automatically admitted to the Exercise Science program at SUU, enabling them to earn their bachelor’s degree with just two additional years of study.

Weber State University offers an advanced option through a 2+1+2 Master’s of Science in Athletic Training (MSAT) degree program. Students will begin at Snow College, completing their associate degree and all required courses for the Athletic Training pathway in two years. They will then enter the MSAT program at Weber State, spending one year on undergraduate and graduate coursework simultaneously. This innovative pathway allows students to graduate with both a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science and a master’s degree in Athletic Training within five years.

Spencer Mack, head of the Exercise Science program at Snow College, expressed enthusiasm about these partnerships. “The agreements with SUU and Weber State are unique opportunities for our students. The seamless transfer to SUU’s Exercise Science Program opens numerous possibilities. The Weber State agreement is likely the only one of its kind in the country, providing a clear pathway from a two-year school to a master’s degree in Athletic Training. These partnerships will not only attract students to Snow College but also strengthen our relationships with four-year institutions.”
