Dive into excellence: Utah Valley Aquatics invites aspiring swimmers

By Staff | Mar 6, 2024

Our UVRays satellite team has had a very successful short course season training at the Mt. Pleasant pool this past fall and winter and is looking forward to an amazing upcoming year.

In the heart of our community, a unique opportunity awaits budding swimmers and high school athletes with aspirations to compete at a higher level. Utah Valley Aquatics, also known as UVRays, beckons those with a passion for swimming to join their year-round swim club, promising a journey of growth, achievement, and camaraderie.

Established in late 2004, Utah Valley Aquatics is a registered USA Swimming club, aligning with the national governing body of swimming in the United States. The UVRays team operates with a profound mission – to nurture the development of each swimmer’s ability, desire, and discipline, both in and out of the pool. Emphasizing the holistic growth of individuals, the club encourages swimmers to achieve their full potential while fostering friendships, setting goals, and embracing a rewarding team experience.

The UVRays satellite team has celebrated a triumphant short course season, training diligently at the Mt. Pleasant pool throughout the fall and winter. As the team looks ahead to an exciting year, they invite prospective swimmers to a tryout day at the Mt. Pleasant pool – eliminating the need to travel to Provo-Orem.

The transformative impact of UVRays’ training regimen is evident in the remarkable progress of swimmers who have honed their skills over just a few short months. The dedication and achievements of these athletes are a source of immense pride for the UVRays team.

An upcoming evaluation/tryout day offers an ideal entry point for those interested in becoming part of the UVRays year-round swim program. The club administration has granted the green light to host this session locally, emphasizing convenience for aspiring swimmers in Mt. Pleasant.

Participating in USA Swimming club teams is recognized as excellent preparation for those eyeing a future in high school or college-level swimming. Notably, UVRays accommodates diverse interests and commitments, ensuring that involvement in club activities does not hinder participation in other sports, summer recreational programs, or high school teams.

Coach Tiffany, the esteemed local swim coach spearheading the UVRays team, brings a wealth of experience to the pool. A lifelong competitive swimmer with over ten years of experience in both short course and long course pools, Coach Tiffany’s dedication extends to open water events and triathlons. Boasting a coaching career that spans a decade, including mentorship under Coach Shari Skabelund, the head coach of BYU Swimming, Coach Tiffany brings a rich reservoir of expertise to UVRays.
