EPHRAIM — The much-anticipated 40th Annual Scandinavian Heritage Festival is fast approaching, scheduled for May 24 and 25. As preparations for this beloved cultural event are underway, organizers are excited to announce a new addition to the festivities: a second entertainment stage at Pioneer Park in Ephraim.

Traditionally, the festival has drawn thousands of attendees from near and far to celebrate the rich Scandinavian heritage of the Sanpete Valley. Live music, vibrant dancing, and captivating performances have always been a highlight of the event. This year, in an effort to enhance the entertainment offerings, organizers are seeking local talent to take the stage and showcase their skills.

“We’re thrilled to introduce a second stage to the festival lineup,” said Amanda Hansen, organizer of the entertainment segment. “We want to provide a platform for our talented community members to share their gifts and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere of the festival.”

The 8×16 stage at Pioneer Park will serve as a showcase for a variety of performances, from music and dance to theater and more. Local entertainers of all ages and talents are encouraged to participate in this volunteer opportunity, which organizers hope will become a cherished tradition for years to come.

“We’re looking for individuals or groups who are passionate about sharing their talents and celebrating our Scandinavian heritage,” added Hansen. “Whether you’re a musician, dancer, actor, or have any other talent to share, we want to hear from you!”
