Snow College Fine Arts Division kicks off fall season with an array of performances
The Snow College Fine Arts Division and Eccles Center for the Performing Arts are offering a packed fall schedule, bringing a diverse range of artistic performances and exhibits to Sanpete County. From music concerts to improv comedy and theater, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s a rundown of the upcoming events for the 2024 season.
September events
Faculty Recital – Sept. 25, 7:30 p.m.
Music enthusiasts can look forward to the Faculty Recital, featuring talented Snow College music faculty in an evening of unforgettable performances. This recital will take place at the Jorgensen Concert Hall in the Eccles Center. With free admission, this event is a must-see for anyone passionate about live music.
October highlights
Snow College Improv: “Badgers in a Bathtub” – Select Fridays and Saturdays, 8 p.m.
Formerly known as L.T.I., the Snow College Improv Team now goes by the name Badgers in a Bathtub. This hilarious improv show promises an evening full of unscripted comedy and audience interaction. Catch their fresh performances in the Eccles Center’s Black Box Theater. Admission is only $1, making it an affordable night out for friends and family.
Choir Concert – Oct. 4, 7:30 p.m.
The Snow College Choir will perform a night of breathtaking choral music, showcasing the skill and harmony of the student ensemble. The concert is expected to feature a range of classical and contemporary pieces.
Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band Concert – Oct. 8, 7:30 p.m.

“Persuasion” – Oct. 9-12, 14-15
The Snow College Theatre Department brings Jane Austen’s classic novel “Persuasion” to life in this staged adaptation. Audiences will experience the story of love, loss, and second chances, set against the backdrop of 19th-century England. With multiple showtimes over six days, it’s a perfect opportunity for theater lovers to immerse themselves in Austen’s timeless tale.
Commercial Music Bands Concert – Oct. 25, 7:30 p.m.
Experience a night of energy and entertainment as the Commercial Music Bands take the stage. These talented student performers will showcase contemporary music genres, offering something for every taste.
String-a-Palooza – Oct. 28, 7:30 p.m.
Music lovers can enjoy an all-string concert featuring a range of genres. String-a-Palooza will highlight the skill and versatility of the Snow College string players, promising a delightful evening of music.
Jazz Big Band & Spotlight Concert – Oct. 29, 7:30 p.m.
Jazz enthusiasts can get their fill at the Jazz Big Band & Spotlight Concert. Expect electrifying performances from Snow College’s finest jazz musicians in a night of swinging rhythms and smooth melodies.
Art Exhibits
Relief Sculptures by Tyler Christensen
On display throughout the fall in the Eccles Center Annex, this collection of relief sculptures by local artist Tyler Christensen explores Utah’s rich theatrical history, focusing on the diverse groups that have shaped Sanpete County. The exhibit is free and offers a unique artistic take on the region’s cultural heritage.
