The community gathered on Saturday, April 26, to celebrate the talents, service, and achievements of five outstanding young women at the annual Miss Spring City pageant. After a memorable evening filled with talent, grace, and heartfelt service project proposals, Haleigh Butterfield was crowned Miss Spring City 2025.
The five contestants competing for the title included Amelia Hinckley, daughter of Ted and Elizabeth Hinckley; Haleigh Butterfield, daughter of Chad and Cindy Butterfield; Jocie Harmer, daughter of Cody and Katy Harmer; Lola Allred, daughter of Pete and Elizabeth Allred; and Matty Owen, daughter of Jon and Jennifer Owen.
Candidates were judged in three categories: a personal interview, a talent performance, and an onstage question. Each contestant also submitted a service project proposal, outlining a meaningful community project they would complete during their reign.
Amelia Hinckley proposed a project centered on mental health awareness, aiming to provide resources and support to the community. Haleigh Butterfield’s project focused on welding metal benches for placement at the Spring City Cemetery, offering visitors a place to rest and reflect. Jocie Harmer planned to gather and donate food and clothing items to the local food bank. Lola Allred’s project encouraged children to stay active and motivated, while Matty Owen dedicated her project to raising funds for research and development of treatments and cures for cancer.
The talent portion of the evening was a showcase of the contestants’ diverse abilities. Amelia performed a beautiful violin solo, while Haleigh presented a PowerPoint and a welded bouquet of roses she had crafted herself. Jocie highlighted her artistic talents with a PowerPoint presentation and display of her original artwork. Lola delivered a lively and expressive contemporary dance, and Matty shared an original poem that moved the audience.

The pageant was emceed by the current Miss Spring City, Ingrid Seegmiller, who also organized the event. Under her direction, the evening ran smoothly, providing a wonderful experience for both contestants and spectators alike.
At the end of the evening, Haleigh Butterfield was crowned Miss Spring City 2025. Jocie Harmer was named First Attendant, and Lola Allred was selected as Second Attendant. Amelia Hinckley and Matty Owen will serve as alternates and were each recognized individually for outstanding performances in specific categories.
The 2025 Miss Spring City Royalty will represent the community at various events throughout the coming year, each carrying forward their service projects and commitment to making a positive impact.
