CentraCom CEO Brad Welch named to USTelecom Board of Directors

By Staff | Oct 28, 2026

The Broadband Association today announced that Brad Welch, CEO and General Manager of CentraCom, has been named to its Board of Directors.

CentraCom CEO and General Manager Brad Welch has been named to the Board of Directors of USTelecom – The Broadband Association, giving the regional broadband provider a voice in national discussions about broadband policy, network investment and rural connectivity.

USTelecom announced Welch’s appointment Oct. 23 in Washington, D.C. The national association represents broadband providers and other companies involved in building and operating the communications networks that connect communities across the country.

Welch brings the perspective of a regional broadband provider to the board, where he will help guide the association’s efforts on policies affecting broadband deployment, infrastructure investment and access to reliable connectivity, particularly in rural communities.

In addition to his new board appointment, Welch serves as vice chair of USTelecom’s Leadership Committee.

USTelecom describes itself as the nation’s leading trade association for broadband providers, technology companies, innovators, suppliers and manufacturers working to expand connectivity.

Welch’s appointment places CentraCom among the industry voices contributing to national discussions about the future of broadband and the policies that influence how communications networks are developed and maintained.

For regional and rural providers, those discussions can have a significant impact on the ability to invest in infrastructure and extend broadband service to communities that may be more challenging to reach.

CentraCom is a regional communications provider serving communities in Utah and the surrounding region. Welch’s role with USTelecom provides an opportunity to bring the experiences and needs of regional providers to a national industry organization.

The board appointment and his leadership role with the association reflect CentraCom’s participation in broader industry efforts to support broadband deployment and connectivity.

Starting at $4.32/week.
