The community is invited to kick off Independence Day with a hearty helping of patriotism and pancakes at the annual Fourth of July Breakfast, held Friday, July 4, from 7 to 9 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Park.

This family-friendly tradition brings together friends and neighbors to honor local veterans and celebrate the nation’s birthday with good food and great company. The event will feature two breakfast options: a full Griddle Breakfast for $15 or a Short Stack for $5.

All proceeds from the breakfast go directly to the Veterans Memorial Fund, supporting local veterans through the VFW and American Legion. The breakfast is generously sponsored by Mardell Kitchen.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early for a flag raising ceremony at 6:45 a.m., a moving tribute that sets the tone for the day’s celebrations.
