Local youth to perform ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ in Fairview
FAIRVIEW — Local youth actors, ages 10-17, are bringing one of Shakespeare’s most beloved plays to life with a special production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The performances will take place at the Fairview Peterson Dance Hall on Saturday, March 22, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., with an additional show on Monday, March 24, at 7 p.m.
This adapted and condensed version of the classic fairytale will run approximately 90 minutes, making it a perfect introduction to Shakespeare for audiences of all ages. Filled with mischief, magic, and comedy, the play follows Puck, the mischievous wood sprite, as he casts spells that cause chaos among star-crossed lovers and fairy royalty. Audience members will delight in the confusion as two couples find themselves caught in Puck’s tricks, while the fairy queen falls under a spell and falls in love with a donkey.
