Moroni Pageant set for March 22 at North Sanpete Middle School

MORONI–The annual Miss Moroni and Little Miss Moroni Pageant is set to take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at 6 p.m. at North Sanpete Middle School. This cherished community event will highlight the talents, aspirations, and service projects of local young women as they compete for the titles of Miss Moroni and Little Miss Moroni.

Admission to the event is $5 per person, with children three and under admitted free.

Meet the Miss Moroni contestants

This year’s Miss Moroni candidates are dedicated to service and advocacy, each focusing on an important cause.

Kynnedy Cartwright, daughter of Kris West and JR Cartwright, is advocating for mental health awareness, working to break the stigma and encourage seeking help. She will showcase her strength through a wrestling demonstration for her talent. Kynnedy plans to attend Snow College after graduation.

Kenadee Hopes, daughter of Boedee and Patti Jo Hopes, and Erin and Benjamin Maier, is focusing on suicide prevention through her platform, “Choosing You.” She hopes to bring awareness and support to those struggling. Her talent will be a dance performance, and she aspires to pursue a career in mental health.

Angela Vasquez, daughter of Eloisa Lemus, is highlighting the importance of supporting the elderly in the community. Her talent will be public speaking, where she will recite a meaningful poem.

Little Miss Moroni contestants

The younger contestants are also stepping up with impactful platforms and performances.

Aribella Cartwright, daughter of Kris West and JR Cartwright, will perform a cheer routine and focus on keeping the parks clean.

Isabella Figueroa, daughter of Guadalupe Ornelas and Manual Figueroa, will showcase a dance performance and encourage kids to get outside and stay active.

Bryndle Hopes, daughter of Patti Jo and Boedee Hopes, will also perform a dance routine and promote her platform, “Kindness Counts,” by spreading uplifting messages throughout the community.

Bristol Michie, daughter of Brad and Megan Michie, will perform a dance routine and advocate for supporting the troops. She dreams of becoming a veterinarian and attending college in the future.

Kaelynn Patino, daughter of Kelly Patino, will perform a dance routine and work on planting flowers at the Moroni City Cemetery to beautify the resting place of loved ones.

Kambrie Russell, daughter of Brennen Russell, will showcase her singing talent and promote patriotism and honoring local veterans.

This exciting event will not only highlight the participants’ talents and community service efforts but also serve as a meaningful way for Moroni residents to come together and celebrate the young leaders in their community.
