The summer theater camp production will take the stage at Manti High School Auditorium for three performances: Saturday, June 13, at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Monday, June 15, at 7 p.m.

Bringing together youth ages 10 to 18 from communities throughout the county, the production showcases weeks of dedication, creativity and teamwork as the young actors, singers and dancers transform the beloved Disney classic into a live theatrical experience.

Audience members can expect much more than a traditional children’s performance. The production features lively musical numbers, colorful costumes, energetic choreography and plenty of theatrical magic as the story of Aladdin, Jasmine and the Genie unfolds on stage.

Based on the popular Disney animated film, Aladdin Jr. follows the adventures of a kind-hearted street youth who discovers a magical lamp and is granted the opportunity to change his life. Along the way, he learns important lessons about friendship, honesty, courage and believing in himself.

Organizers say the production aims to immerse audiences in the sights and sounds of Agrabah, from bustling marketplaces to the wonder of a magical carpet ride. The show offers entertainment for all ages while celebrating imagination and the power of dreams.

The annual summer theater camp has become a popular opportunity for local youth to develop performance skills, build confidence and work collaboratively in a creative environment. After just two weeks of intensive rehearsals, the cast is ready to share its hard work with the community.

In addition to the performance itself, guests will be able to enjoy themed concessions and candygrams, adding another layer of fun to the theater experience.

Tickets are $8 per person, while children ages 3 and younger are admitted free. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door.
