Fairview is gearing up for the highly anticipated Miss Fairview Scholarship Pageant, with the theme “Beauty and a Beat,” showcasing seven outstanding young ladies vying for the coveted title. The winner of this year’s pageant will succeed the current reigning Miss Fairview, Sophia Johnson, who has had a remarkable year representing the city.

Here are the accomplished contestants for the 2024 Miss Fairview Scholarship Pageant:

1. Alyssa Fey Cox

• Parents: Jerry and Lacey Cox
• Service Platform: “The Cost of Living with Diabetes” – raising awareness about resources for those struggling with insulin costs
• Talent: Original story reading
• Future Plans: Aspiring veterinarian or owner of an animal grooming service

2. Brecklyn Veronica Thompson

• Parents: Shayne and Natalie Thompson
• Service Platform: “Food for the Weekend” – distributing “Kid Packs” to provide weekend meals for children
• Talent: Vocal solo, “Journey to the Past” from Anastasia
• Future Plans: Graphic Designer

3. BrexAnn Belt

• Parents Lindsay Poole and Ryan Belt
• Service Platform: “Just Breathe” – supporting those dealing with anxiety and stress
• Talent: Dance solo to “Control” by Zoe Wees
• Future Plans: Pursuing clinical psychology at The University of Utah

4. Shea Rawlinson

• Parents: Sean and Shauna Rawlinson
• Service Platform: “Half Full Minds” – promoting the power of maintaining a positive mindset
• Talent: Vocal solo, “Colors of the Wind”
• Future Plans: Becoming an Athletic Physical Therapist and a dedicated mother

5. Summer Elizabeth Johnson

• Parents: Emily and Joel Johnson
• Service Platform: “QR Remembered” – utilizing QR codes to preserve information and memories at cemeteries
• Talent: Vocal solo, “How Far I’ll Go” from Moana
• Future Plans: Pursuing a career as a human biologist

6. Kayleigh Grace Marie Kiernan

• Parents: Seth and Grace Heth
• Service Platform: “Make Kindness the Norm” – advocating for the positive impact of kindness
• Talent: Dance routine to “Rise Up” by Andra Day (choreographed by Janessa Dyches)
• Future Plans: Aspiring Dental Hygienist

7. Cassidy Curtis

• Parents: Julene Curtis and Wes Curtis
• Service Platform: “Branching Out” – encouraging individuals to step out of their comfort zones for personal growth
• Talent: Piano solo, “Rosemary’s Piano Theme” from The Giver
• Future Plans: Majoring in business and entrepreneurship

The 2024 Miss Fairview Scholarship Pageant is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24, at 7 p.m., at the Peterson Dance Hall in Fairview.
