Webber, 23, joins one of the most successful clubs in Australian women’s soccer and is expected to arrive in Sydney in early September ahead of the A-League season, which begins in mid-October. She will wear No. 2 for the Sky Blues.
The move marks Webber’s second professional contract after signing with NWSL expansion side Denver Summit FC in January. Webber also spent time on loan with Tampa Bay Sun of the USL Super League, where she earned the league’s Goal of the Month honor for March.
“I’m extremely excited to be joining Sydney FC and coming to Australia to play in what is a very competitive league in women’s football,” Webber said. “Everything I’ve heard about the club, the playing group and the environment has been really positive, and I’m looking forward to becoming part of what is already an excellent young squad.”
Webber arrives in Australia following one of the most decorated careers in Utah Valley history. The Grand Blanc, Michigan, native finished her four seasons with the Wolverines as the program’s all-time leader in goals (70), points (157), shots (440), shots on goal (223) and game-winning goals (20).
She capped her collegiate career in 2025 by leading NCAA Division I with 22 goals while also leading the nation in shots per game (6.82) and shots on goal per game (3.14). Webber ranked third nationally with 48 points and fourth at 2.18 points per game. Her 22 goals and 48 points both set UVU single-season records.
Webber’s final season helped lead Utah Valley to its fourth consecutive WAC regular-season championship and an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament. She scored five goals against Southern Utah on Senior Night, setting a UVU single-match record and tying for the most goals by an NCAA Division I player in a match during the 2025 season.
A year earlier, Webber led the nation in goals per game at 0.95 after scoring 18 times in 19 appearances.
Webber also left her mark on the Western Athletic Conference record book. She finished her career with a WAC-record 42 goals in conference-only matches, surpassing the previous mark of 37 held by Hawai’i’s Natasha Kai. Her 70 career goals across all matches ranked third in WAC history.
Her postseason résumé included four First Team All-WAC selections and four United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region honors. Webber was also a two-time United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American and earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-America First Team honors in 2025 after being named to the second team in 2024.
Sydney FC head coach James Slaveski said Webber’s combination of athleticism, work rate and finishing ability should translate well to the A-League.
“Faith has an excellent set of attributes which we believe will translate very well to the A-League,” Slaveski said. “She is quick, athletic and has a fantastic work rate, while her movement and ability to make quality runs in behind defenders will give us another real threat in the final third.”
“Her goalscoring numbers at NCAA Division I level are exceptional and demonstrate that she knows how to find the right areas and finish chances,” Slaveski added.
Webber joins a Sydney FC program with a long history of success in Australia’s top women’s competition. She will begin training with the Sky Blues in September as the club prepares for the 2026-27 Ninja A-League campaign.
