Katie Alvey, John Peel to make temple vows
SIGURD– Kelly and Tracy Alvey, Sigurd; announce the marriage of their daughter, Katie Margaret, to John Fredrick Peel, son of Glen and Detina Peel, Mt. Pleasant; Saturday, May 4, 2013, in the Manti LDS Temple.
A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 5:30 to 7 p.m., in the Sigurd LDS Ward, 30 South 100 West.
An open house will held from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, May 17, in the Anderson Historic Barn, 3990 South 100 West, Spring City.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Richfield High School and attended Southern Utah University (SUU), 2004-05 and BYU-Hawaii, 2005-06. She graduated from SUU in 2009 with a bachelors of science degree in marketing and is currently employed as a wholesale administrator at DelSol and Cariloha, Pederson Worldwide Companies, Sandy. She served in the North Carolina Raleigh LDS Mission, 2007-08.
Grandparents of the bride are Glenn Pitts, Monroe, and the late Roberta Pitts; and the late Lew and Ida Alvey.
The bridegroom is a 2002 graduate of North Sanpete High School and earned an associate degree from Utah Valley University, 2008. He attended WYO Tech, Laramie, WY; and graduated in 2013 with a certificate in auto body, chassis fabrication and auto upholstery, earning an Outstanding Student Award for 2010 in upholstery. He is employed as manager at Horseshoe Mountain Hardware and owner of JP Upholstery, both Mt. Pleasant.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Glen and Joette Thomson, Randolph; and Paul and Emalie Peel, Mona; and the late Frances Peel.
The couple will reside in Mt. Pleasant.
