November is a little early for stocking stuffers, but the BYU men’s basketball team displayed its ability to be “stat stuffers” on Friday against Omaha.

The contributions came from everyone who donned a Cougar jersey and in every category, with six players scoring in double figures in a 108-67 rout at the Marriott Center.

To whit:

*All five starters hit for double figures, the second straight game the Cougars have turned that trick.

*Rob Wright III scored 19 points on 8 of 11 from the field.

*Collin Chandler scored 18 points of his own on 6 of 7 from the field and 3 of 4 from the 3-point line, adding four rebounds and five assists.

*Freshman Bruce Branch III totaled 17 points and six rebounds.

*Jaxon Kohler contributed 11 points and seven boards.

BYU's Robert Wright III (1) takes a shot against Omaha in a men's college basketball game at the Marriott Center on Friday, Nov. 6, 2026.

*Khadim Mboup led the Cougars with eight rebounds.

*Brooks Bahr tied with Chandler for the lead in assists with five.

*Brody Kozlowski, who has missed the better part of two season due to injury, scored his first point since January of 2025.

*Freshmen Dean Rueckert had two points and four rebounds in his Marriott Center debut.

*7-foot- 1 freshman Petar Ostojic also got into the scoring column with a late 3-pointer.

“It’s really hard to play a lot of guys,” BYU head coach Kevin Young said. “Once you get past nine it gets really hard. There were certain things we wanted to see and we felt like it was a good game to do it. Everyone was smiling when Petar hit that three at the end, but that kid can shoot. It’s good for team spirit and chemistry for the guys to get into the game. At the same time our starting five all scored in double figures as well so it was a good night just in terms of getting to see a lot of different things.”

This next stat is probably too big to fit into a stocking on Christmas Eve but BYU outscored the Mavericks on fast break points by a whopping 31-0.

“I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a stat in a game where its 31-0 on fast break points,” Young said. “That’s pretty remarkable. We talked a ton coming into this game about how I actually felt like we played too slow in the Ohio State game and I wasn’t happy with that. So we talked about that and worked on that quite a bit leading into this game.”

Four of BYU’s first six field goals were 3s — two from Betsey — for a 16-4 lead in the first five minutes of the game. It was 22-7 at the 12:49 mark and Chandler (five points, two rebounds, three assists) had his fingerprints all over the Cougars attack.

BYU was 7 of 12 from distance to start the game and Betsey made his third 3-pointer with 8:20 to play in the first half for a 33-13 advantage. Another Betsey triple, followed by a Wright 3-point play and a putback from Mboup gave the Cougars a 27-point lead (45-18) with just over four minutes to go. BYU took a 56-30 advantage at the half.

Wright and Betsey (who had four first half 3-pointers) scored 12 points each for the Cougars, which shot 60% (20 of 30) from the field and 53% (8 of 15) from beyond the arc.

Betsey connected on his fifth and sixth 3-pointer in the first four minutes of the second half and BYU extended its lead to 32 points at 70-38. Branch scored seven straight points to give the home team an 81-46 lead (35 points) and the advantage reached it largest at 44 points (99-55) on a Chandler triple with 4:51 remaining. Kohler put the Cougars over the century mark with a pair of free throws a few moments later.

“Not allowing those transition points on the defensive end, that was that was a huge thing for us,” Branch said. “Honestly, this game we were playing a lot faster than we usually do. Get a rebound and just kick it ahead, getting a bucket, scoring at the rim, paint-to-great threes, stuff like that. It was just another game. It was just another day. I’m proud of these guys. I mean, we delivered.”
