1. No. 2 BYU (6-0, 3-0)

Last results: Quarterback Bear Bachmeier accounted for all four BYU touchdowns (two rushing, one passing, one receiving) and BYU defended a final pass in the end zone for a 28-24 victory against No. 2 Notre Dame.
