Here are the top boys basketball players in the Utah Valley area in 2023-24:

Player of the Year: Cooper Lewis, 6-2 Sr. G, Lehi

Lewis was an elite scorer, averaging 27.3 points per game while shooting 48% from the field. He made 110 3-pointers, which led the state, at a 38% clip. Lewis also averaged 4.4 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game while leading the Pioneers to the 6A state championship.

Offensive MVP: Chase DeGraffenried, 6-2 Sr. G, Salem Hills

For the second straight season, DeGraffenried was one of the state’s best scorers at 25.8 points per game and converted 52% from the field. He shot 41% while making 68 3-pointers and added 5.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest.

Defensive MVP: Blake Rawson, 6-8 Sr., American Fork

The versatile Rawson could defend inside and around the perimeter while averaging 11.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game for the Cavemen.

Coach of the Year: Quincy Lewis, Lehi

Lewis won his ninth state title (seven at Lone Peak, two at Lehi), which is the most in state history. The Pioneers raced past Corner Canyon 78-67 in the 6A title game.

FIRST TEAM ALL-VALLEY

Jace Adams, 6-2 Sr. G, Westlake

Adams averaged 15.5 points, 4.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while making 33 3-pointers for the Thunder.

Jax Allen, 6-4 Jr. G, Orem

Allen led a balanced Orem attack with 14.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while making 18 3-pointers and shooting 46% from the field.

Bennett Averett, 6-2 Sr. G, Maple Mountain

Averett contributed 15 points, and 4.5 rebounds per game for the Golden Eagles while sinking 64 3-pointers.

Jason Carter, 6-8 Sr. F, Provo

Carter was a force for the Bulldogs with 17. 1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game while shooting 57% from the field.

Aaron Castagnetto, 6-3 Sr. G, Provo

Castagnetto complimented Carter’s inside game with 16.1 points per game while making 65 3-pointers for the Bulldogs.

Tiger Cuff, 6-5 Sr. G, American Fork

Cuff was a threat every time he handled the ball, averaging 14.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game. He also tossed in 34 3-pointers for the Cavemen.

Aaron Dunn, 6-8 Jr. C, Spanish Fork

The powerful Dunn was tough to guard on the low block, leading the Dons with 17.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.

Conner Fairbanks, 6-1 Sr. G, Mountain View

Fairbanks averaged 17 points and 3.8 assists per game while contributing 38 3-pointers for the Bruins.

Easton Hawkins, 6-4 Jr. G, Lehi

Hawkins was a perfect scoring compliment with Cooper Lewis, averaging 16.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. He shot 50% from the field and 39% from the 3-point line, tossing in 46 triples.

Jordan Kohler, 6-6 Jr. F, Skyridge

Kohler made 21 3-pointers and averaged 17.8 points and 9.0 rebounds per game, becoming the single season rebound leader in Skyridge history.

Bryce Mella, 6-4 So. G, Mountain View

Mella is a pure scorer who averaged 19.8 points per game while shooting 51% from the field, contributing 29 3-pointers.

Dean Rueckert, 6-7 So. F, Timpview

Rueckert was a strong inside/out scorer, averaging 19.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game while shooting 50% from the field. He made 44 3-pointers and shot 34% from beyond the arc.

Jared Shepherd, 6-3 Sr. G, American Fork

Shepherd demanded attention from opponents, averaging 15.8 points per game while making 54 3-pointers.

Jamyn Sondrup, 6-10 So. C, Springville

Sondrup was a dominant force in the paint, shooting 60% from the field while averaging 19.2 points and 10.4 rebounds per contest.

Kamika Wesley, 6-7 Sr. F, Payson

Wesley was dominant and averaged 17.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while also making 36 3-pointers.

SECOND TEAM ALL-VALLEY

Heath Christensen, 6-0 Sr. G, Cedar Valley

Christensen led the Aviators with 14.1 points and 2.3 assists per game while also making 37 3-pointers.

Chance Dastrup, 5-10 Jr. G, Orem

Dastrup was an assist machine (9.3 per game) while also contributing 9.4 points per game and 32 3-pointers.

Aisa Galea’i, 6-1 So. G, Timpview

The lightning quick Galea’i averaged 10.8 points and 3.3 assists per game while making 47% from the field and knocking down 20 3-pointers.

Mason Hansen, 6-0 So. G, Springville

Hansen was a skilled scorer who averaged 13.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game, connecting on 31 3-pointers for the Red Devils.

Luke Henderson, 5-10 Jr. G, Rockwell

Henderson tore up small school competition, averaging 21 points and seven rebounds per game while making 66 3-point shots.

Trey Hiatt, 6-4 Jr. F, Orem

Hiatt was an unsung hero for the Tigers, averaging 11.0 points and 3.7 rebounds per game while making 64% from the field.

Thom Kramer, 6-2 Sr. G, Lone Peak

Kramer was a sharp-shooting guard who averaged 14.6 points per game and made 28 3-pointers to lead the Knights.

Sam Lind, 6-3 Sr. G, Wasatch

Lind was a handful from his guard spot, leading the Wasps with 19.6 points per game and sinking 53 3-pointers.

Jaxen McCuistion, 6-3 So. G, Timpanogos

McCuistion is one of the state’s top young players and averaged 14.7 points and 5.4 rebound per game for the Timberwolves, making 41 3-pointers as well.

Ryker Mikkelsen, 6-2 Jr. G, Pleasant Grove

Mikkelsen was a leader for a young Vikings team, averaging 11.6 points per game while making 19 3-pointers.

Brady Peery, 6-3 Jr. G, American Heritage

Perry was a dangerous scorer at 17.6 points per game for the Patriots.

Symon Sua, 6-2 Jr. G, Westlake

Sua was a bright spot for the young Thunder team, averaging 15.1 points per game while draining 50 3-pointers.

Simeon Suguturaga, 6-4 So. G, Mountain View

Suguturaga was one of the most versatile players in the state during his sophomore campaign, averaging 12.4 points, 7.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game while knocking down 28 3-pointers.

Zach Swarnes, 6-2 Jr. G, ALA

Swarnes led the Eagles with 15.1 points per game, contributing 7.3 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game.

Niwhai Winitana, 6-2 Sr. G, American Heritage

Winitana was a consistent scorer for the Patriots, averaging 16.1 points per game while knocking down 55 3-pointers.

THIRD TEAM ALL-VALLEY

Andrew Anderson, 6-1 Jr. G, Pleasant Grove

Anderson bombed in 55 3-pointers for the Vikings and averaged 8.0 points per game.

Kason Averett, 6-2 Sr. G, Salem Hills

Averett had a solid senior season with 9.8 points per game, making 32 3-pointers.

Grayson Brousseau, 6-6 Sr. F, Lehi

Brousseau did good work for the 6A state champions, averaging 8.6 points, 2.9 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 49% from the field.

Chamberlain Burgess, 6-7 Jr. F, Lone Peak

Burgess averaged 11.7 points and 5.6 rebounds per game for the Knights while connecting on 25 3-pointers.

Gage Christensen, 6-1 So. G, Spanish Fork

Christensen was a consistent player for the Dons, averaging 11.8 points per game.

Kolby Dyches, 6-1 Sr. G, Salem Hills

Dyches was an outside threat, making 63 3-pointers at a 40% clip while averaging 11.8 points per game for the Skyhawks.

Mason Ford, 6-2 So. G, Timpview

Ford was a terrific complimentary player for the T-Birds, averaging 7.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game while making 33 3-pointers.

Jaxon Hunter, 6-1 Jr. G, ALA

Hunter set a state record with 13 3-pointers in a single game, finishing with 61 triples. He averaged 14.6 points per contest.

Kannon Huntsman, 6-3 Jr. F, ALA

The physical Huntsman was a valuable asset for the Eagles, averaging 13.3 points and 9.3 rebounds while shooting 54% from the field.

Jack Johnson, 6-1 Jr. G, Timpanogos

Johnson had a nice season for the Timberwolves, averaging 14.7 points and 5.4 rebounds per game while connecting on 41 3-pointers.

Roman Haueter, 6-1 Sr. G, Rockwell

Haueter was a big contributor for the Marshals, averaging 15.3 points and 5.2 rebounds per game while sinking 40 3-pointers.

Dane Housley, 6-2 Sr. G, Skyridge

Housley made his mark with the Falcons by averaging 10.2 points and 4.9 assists per game.

Hunter Larson, 6-4 Sr. G, Cedar Valley

Larson averaged 12.5 points and 5.0 rebounds per game for the Aviators.

Tate Larson, 5-10 Sr. G, Skyridge

Larson was a long-distance expert, making 58 3-pointers while averaging 9.7 points per game for the Falcons.

Ty Palmer, 6-0 Jr. G, Pleasant Grove

Palmer was another 3-point marksman for the Vikings, making 34 triples while averaging 8.7 points per contest.

Matthew Peterson, 6-4 Sr. F, Maple Mountain

Peterson had a strong senior year for the Golden Eagles, averaging 13 points and 8.2 rebounds per game while making 24 3-pointers.

JJ Serre, 6-5 So. F, Wasatch

Serre contributed 10.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game for the Wasps while making 33 3-pointers.

Jackson Taylor, 6-2 Jr. G, Lone Peak

Taylor had a great junior season for the Knights, averaging 10.0 points per game while connecting on 58 3-pointers.

Asher Young, 6-4 Sr. F, Orem

Young was an athletic option for the Tigers, averaging 10.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.
