Four young women vie for title of Miss Mt. Pleasant 2024

Mt. Pleasant is abuzz with excitement as four talented and community-minded young women prepare to compete for the esteemed title of Miss Mt. Pleasant 2024. The annual pageant, set to take place at North Sanpete High School on Saturday, promises an evening of glamour, talent, and service initiatives.

Organized by Miss Mt. Pleasant Pageant Director Christa Lee Haymore, this year’s competition will showcase the remarkable dedication and passion of each contestant. The winner will not only receive a $1,000 scholarship but also the opportunity to represent Mt. Pleasant through a year of service initiatives at various events, programs, and parades.

“We have an amazing group of young women competing this year, each of them committed to serving their community and excited for the opportunity to represent their hometown,” expressed Haymore.

Hosting the event will be the current Miss Mt. Pleasant, Madison Shelley, daughter of Robert and Candice Shelley, adding her own touch of elegance to the evening. Entertainment will be provided by the Shine Show Choir, under the direction of Sherri Boekweg, as well as performances by Miss Sanpete County, Anna Johnson, and Miss Sanpete County Teen, Kaylie Curtis.

The pageant will kick off at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door, priced at $5 for adults and $3 for children. The public is encouraged to attend and show support for these talented young women.

The contestants are as follows:

Alice Hafen

Contestant #1 – Alice Hafen

Daughter of Jonathan & Heather Hafen of Mt. Pleasant, Alice will showcase her gymnastics and tumbling skills for the talent portion of the competition. Her community service project, “Bracelets That Bond, Spreading Love and Hope,” aims to bring joy and positivity to the community.

Tori Shirley

Contestant #2 – Tori Shirley

Daughter of Bryan & Ann-Marie Shirley of Mt. Pleasant, Tori will captivate the audience with her singing talent. Her community service project, “Food Restrictions: Thriving, Not Just Surviving,” focuses on raising awareness and support for individuals with food restrictions.

Taylor Timms

Contestant #3 – Taylor Timms

Niece of Brianna Timms from Mt. Pleasant, Taylor will deliver a dramatic monologue that promises to leave a lasting impression. Her community service project, “Spreading Gratitude Attitudes,” aims to inspire gratitude and kindness within the community.

Eden Fischer

Contestant #4 – Eden Fischer

Daughter of Robert & Diana Fischer from Mt. Pleasant, Eden will showcase her artistic talents through her art portfolio. Her community service project, “Artistic Youth,” aims to foster creativity and expression among the youth in the community.
