By Staff | May 1, 2024

This year the month of May has been added to the First Saturday series, with the Kick-off concert being Saturday, May 4. Senxoa a Latin music party band will play starting at 7 p.m.

Spring City Arts, a prominent organization dedicated to promoting Sanpete Artists and fostering artistic events in the region, is excited to announce the grand opening ceremony of their newly restored Art Gallery Space. Situated within the Spring City Activity Center at 150 E. Center St. on Spring City Square in Spring City, the gallery promises to be a hub for artistic expression and community engagement.

The opening reception will commence at 5 p.m., followed by the official opening ceremony at 6 p.m. Alongside showcasing the newly renovated art gallery, which received support from the Friends of Historic Spring City and Spring City, Spring City Arts will unveil its refreshed logo, aligning with the aesthetic of the new gallery space.

Thanks to a grant from the Utah Division of Arts and Museums, Spring City Arts has expanded its repertoire of free public concerts in recent years. Introducing the First Saturday series last year, in collaboration with Spring City businesses, the organization has brought vibrant musical performances to the community. On First Saturdays, businesses such as Spring City Mercantile, Das Cafe, Roots 89 Grill, The Spring City Arts Gallery, Springtown Springs Service Station, and Legacy Home Collection extend their hours leading up to the evening concert, fostering a lively atmosphere in Spring City Square.

Expanding on the success of the First Saturday series, Spring City Arts has included the month of May in this year’s lineup, with the kickoff concert scheduled for Saturday, May 4. The event will feature Senxoa, a dynamic Latin music party band, performing at 7 p.m.

“We are thrilled to have Senxoa kick off our summer concert series, especially on a weekend that coincides with Cinco de Mayo. Their vibrant music will undoubtedly entertain all who attend,” remarked Ted Hinckley, President of Spring City Arts.

In addition to the concert, attendees can explore Spring City Arts’ summer event calendar and learn about upcoming events such as the renowned Plein Air painting event and Artist Studio Tour.

Timeline for Saturday, May 4:

  • All Day: Spring City First Saturday, featuring extended hours at participating businesses.
  • 5 p.m.: Opening reception at Spring City Activity Center.
  • 6 p.m.: Opening ceremony for the newly restored Art Gallery Space.
