Provo man arrested after allegedly assaulting girls at rec center pool
A Provo man was arrested Monday after police said he assaulted two young girls while swimming in the children’s pool area at the Provo Recreation Center. Alfonso Lopez Gutierrez, 32, was booked into the Utah County Jail and faces three counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child. According to an affidavit, the man touched a 10-year-old child and her 13-year-old sister while swimming in the lazy river portion of the pool.
