Orem man charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his mother in Springville
An Orem man faces an attempted murder charge after he allegedly told his mother there was "something odd about her aura" before stabbing her in the neck with a knife. Dorian Malachi Mecham, 23, was charged Tuesday in Provo's 4th District Court with attempted murder, a first-degree felony, for the alleged attack. According to court documents, Mecham attacked his mother with a full-tang fixed-blade knife on July 11 in Springville.
