Man accused of killing Santaquin police officer may face new charges after alleged attack on jail deputies
Additional charges may be handed down to Michael Aaron Jayne, the man accused of running over and killing Santaquin Police Sgt. Bill Hooser in May of last year, after he allegedly attacked multiple deputies at the Utah County Jail, reportedly leaving some of them with injuries. Jayne, 43, was being investigated Tuesday for having contraband in his cell at the county jail, where he’s already awaiting trial for the murder of Hooser.
