Every year, people from around the world descend on Spanish Fork for the Holi Festival of Colors at the Shri Shri Radha Krishna Temple. This year’s festival, held Saturday and Sunday, was no different.

For decades, the temple in Utah County has been home to one of the world’s largest color festivals. On stage Saturday, organizer Charu Das told the crowd — to an eruption of applause — that the attendance was higher than they saw in the years before COVID-19.

While some of the attendees have made their way to the Krishna Temple every year, others came for the first time in 2022.

Brooklyn Moore, a Payson resident at her first Festival of Colors in Spanish Fork, said, “I had so much fun. I think it’s just a great place to come with the community and a great place to just have a good time.”

Das and other organizers will continue to hold festivals throughout the country, including in Las Vegas in April, Ogden in May and Salt Lake City in June.

Starting at $4.32/week.
