SPRING CITY — Janeen Brady’s Easter Cantata will be presented by the Sanpete Interfaith Choir on three performance dates; April 6, 7, and 8, in Mt. Pleasant, Spring City, and Manti. Seating is limited, reservations are advised. Visit http://JaneenBrady.com to reserve a free ticket. The Easter Cantata is another testimony of Jesus Christ.

The Easter Cantata dates with times and locations are as follows: Thursday, April 6, at 7 p.m., in the Mt. Pleasant Utah North Stake Center, 461 North 300 West. Friday, April 7, at 7 p.m., in the Spring City Historic Rock Church, 164 South Main Street. Then Saturday, April 8, at 2 p.m., in the Manti Tabernacle, 90 South Main Street, Manti, Utah.

Janeen Brady is the composer of this Easter Cantata presentation and the choir is quite fortunate to have Janeen directly advising on the intricacies and performance of this complex music. Threesa Cummings is conducting the choir, Claire Yarrington is the artistic director, accompanists’ are Micki Oliphant on piano and Camille Brady Ludlow on the organ.

There are a number of local talented singers that will perform solo parts including Jennifer Hernandez, Susan LaFollette, Nathan Bruse, David Hanks, and David Lance Martin.

Janeen Jacobs Brady is an American composer, lyricist, and publisher of children’s music, patriotic songs, educational music, and religious songs and hymns. She has also authored cantatas, musical comedies, musical dramas, and road shows. She and her husband, Ted Brady, founded Brite Music, Inc. She has composed and produced over 40 full-length albums and her songs have sold over 6 million copies. Since 2015, Janeen has lived in the Sanpete Valley.

Brady is the author of numerous Brite Music published children’s music and books, including “The Safety Kids,” “Watch Me Sing,” “I Have a Song For You,” and “Sing, Read and Write.” Although Brady is well known for her “Brite Music” series, the Easter Cantata is a sacred work that completely departs from those lighter works.

In 1983, she was invited to the White House by U.S. President Ronald Reagan and Mrs. Reagan for a performance of her song, “The Great American Family.”

Brady’s song “I Lived in Heaven” is in the Children’s Songbook of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and can be found and listened to by visiting the church website at: https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/music/library/childrens-songbook?lang=eng. Another one of her widely sung songs is “I Want to Be A Mother,” from her collection, “Songs for a Mormon Child.”
