Miracle Theatre director Nanette Bramwell launches acting classes for local youth
If your child loves dressing up, using funny voices, or reenacting scenes from their favorite movies, Miracle Theatre in Manti has the perfect opportunity. Starting Sept. 4, Nanette Bramwell, director of Miracle Theatre, will be offering acting classes specifically designed for children ages 6 to 13. These classes provide a fun and supportive environment where young aspiring actors can develop their talents and creativity.
Bramwell, who holds a BA in theatre arts from Brigham Young University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Theatre through Regent University, brings a wealth of experience to her teaching. Her extensive background includes performing in productions such as “The Belle of Amherst” and “You Can’t Take It With You,” as well as directing local productions like “The Boys Next Door” and “Box and Cox.”
Recognizing a gap in the availability of acting opportunities for children in Sanpete County, Bramwell decided to create these classes as a way to nurture young talent. “While Sanpete County offers many music and dance opportunities, finding credible opportunities to develop the unique skill of acting can be daunting. That’s where Miracle Theatre helps fill the gap,” Bramwell explains.
The acting classes will focus on strengthening the body and voice as integral parts of theatrical creativity. Held on the stage of the Eva Beal Auditorium, the classes will give children a real taste of what it feels like to be in the theatre. Students will also have the chance to perform short skits for each other, gaining valuable experience in front of a live audience.
The classes will take place every Wednesday afternoon from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. at the Eva Beal Auditorium, located at 50 S. Main St., Manti. Tuition is $40 per month, and no audition is required to join. To reserve a spot, parents can text 603-244-8141. This is a fantastic opportunity for children to explore their love of acting while making new friends and building confidence on stage.
