Brian Stucki
SPRING CITY — Music will once again fill the ballroom at Spring City’s Community Center as the city’s popular concert series resumes Friday at 7 p.m.
The evening will feature internationally known tenor Brian Stucki along with several of his vocal students from Snow College. The performance will take place in the ballroom at the Community Center, 45 S. 100 East. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.
The concert series is co-sponsored by Spring City Corp. and local organizers, continuing a tradition of bringing high-quality live music to the community in an intimate setting.
Stucki, who has been a Spring City resident for several years, has performed on stages around the world. Known for his powerful tenor voice and expressive performances, he has built an international reputation while also dedicating time to mentoring the next generation of musicians.
His students performing on the program represent some of the top vocal talent from Snow College’s highly regarded music program. The Feb. 20 concert will showcase both solo and ensemble selections, highlighting a range of vocal styles and repertoire.
Proceeds from the opening concert will be used to maintain the ballroom’s seven-foot grand piano, a treasured instrument donated to Spring City by the B. W. Bastian Foundation. The piano serves as the centerpiece for many community performances throughout the year.
Two additional concerts are planned for the season.
On Thursday, March 26, the Young Artists Chamber Players will return to Spring City. The ensemble is a student string orchestra composed of outstanding high school musicians from the Wasatch Front. Their performances have become a favorite with local audiences, offering polished and energetic interpretations of classical works.
The season will conclude Friday, April 10, with a performance by Annie Zhou, a student at Wasatch Academy originally from China. Zhou will present a flute concert, showcasing her musical talents in what organizers anticipate will be a captivating evening.
Admission to the March 26 and April 10 concerts is free, though donations will be accepted to support the continuation of the series.
All programs are open to the public, and community members from throughout Sanpete County are encouraged to attend.
