One

Cincinnati has fielded a college football team since 1885.

Two

Since 2005, the Bearcats have posted a 155-75 record with 14 bowl appearances and seven conference titles.

Three

Cincinnati qualified for the College Football Playoffs in 2021, losing to No. 1 seed Alabama 27-6.

Four

When the band arrives at Nippert Stadium, they stand at the top of the student section and play “Down the Stars,” during which the entire band rushes down the stairs to meet the drumline on the field.

The motto of the Cincinnati Bearcats is “Strength in Unity (Juncta Juvant).” It describes how and why the Bearcats can pull together, innovate and succeed in the face of challenges.
