Day 1 of the preliminary hearing for Tyler Robinson began Monday as Utah County prosecutors attempted to establish probable cause that Robinson killed political activist Charlie Kirk. Robinson, 23, of Washington, Utah, was charged with shooting and killing Kirk while he was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University in Orem on Sept. 10, 2025.
