Utah County Health Department offering naloxone training for opioid overdose

Opioids remain a significant health crisis statewide, accounting for 197 of the state's 293 drug overdose deaths so far in 2026, according to the Utah Department of Health and Human Services. The issue is prevalent in Utah County, where authorities said the Utah County Major Crimes Task Force has seized over 25,000 fentanyl pills over the past two weeks.
