Utah County’s Most Wanted: Payson man wanted for multiple drug convictions
The Utah County Sheriff’s Office is actively seeking Juan Acevedo, last known to live in the Payson area, for five warrants related to drug possession and theft.
Acevedo’s most recent warrant comes from an incident on April 29, 2014. Police reports state Acevedo, 35, was pulling out of a Provo hotel at about 3 a.m. and was stopped for not having a rear license plate light.
As the Provo police officer was running Acevedo’s information, he discovered Acevedo’s license was suspended.
Acevedo consented to a body search, and the officer found a pipe with methamphetamine residue on it.
Acevedo was booked on a third-degree felony charge of possession of a controlled substance.
He pleaded guilty to his crimes on Oct. 28, 2014, and all charges besides his third-degree felony were dismissed.
However, on Oct. 30, 2015, he failed to report to his probation officer, and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
Acevedo has four other warrants for his arrest outstanding. The first is for another third-degree felony charge for possession of a controlled substance.
The second is for one class B misdemeanor charge of retail theft.
The other two are for class C misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended license.
Acevedo has been described as being 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing about 165 pounds. He has brown eyes and brown hair.

His first warrant is for one third-degree felony for failing to stop at the command of a police officer.
His second warrant is for one class B misdemeanor charge for driving without insurance.
His final warrant is for one class B misdemeanor charge of criminal mischief.
