It’s hard to miss the new Keller Williams building in Orem just off the 800 North freeway interchange.

The new building, which houses the KW Westfield Keller Williams Real Estate branch, is not located in Lehi’s tech hub, but still boasts that same feel. That might be due to the company’s focus on being a technology-focused real estate provider.

“Over the next few years Keller Williams is transforming its real estate company into a tech company. We’re revamping our tech platform and will be rolling it out in the next two or three years,” said Jonny Christensen, KW Westfield’s team leader. “We’re moving to a digitally-based transaction product. We really want to be the technology player in the real estate world.”

Still, the company is also focused on its agents and the people it serves.

“The seller of a home still wants to work with a high-level expert, while coupling that with a sleek technology platform,” said Cassie Dow, team leader of the Layton Keller Williams office. “They need to feel like they are in good hands, they want that connection. And you can’t get that just from technology.”

The 26,000-square-foot building “created a home for all our agents in Utah County,” Christensen said. Its second floor is somewhat of an open gathering area where Keller Williams agents can opt to work, instead of at home offices. All of Keller Williams’ 250 Utah County agents can also access conference rooms and resources all in the same building as they serve their residential and commercial real estate clients.

The Orem location is one of eight franchises in Utah, and Christensen said Keller Williams is one of the largest real estate companies in the United States. While Keller Williams added land, luxury and commercial divisions, the Utah County sector has experienced huge growth in recent years, thus prompting its recent move. Christensen expects this location to house KW Westfield for a number of years.

Starting at $4.32/week.
