As thousands of firefighters, including some from Utah, continue to battle deadly wildfires raging across Southern California, organizations in Utah County are firming up aid to help those who have been impacted.

Tabitha’s Way Local Food Pantry in Pleasant Grove is collecting donations that will go to people affected by the Palisades Fire in Pacific Palisades and the Eaton Fire. Both have torched thousands of homes and acres in Los Angeles County.

As of Wednesday afternoon, both fires remain active, according to ABC News.

Our co-founder Mike Carter used to live in Orange County (California) and has many friends in the L.A. area, which inspired him to want to help,” Tabitha’s Way Community Relations Coordinator Kara Smith told the Daily Herald in an email.

Tabitha’s Way is partnering with Lifting Hands International, an organization in American Fork, to assemble donations that will be transported to those in need.

Items to be sent include diapers, feminine hygiene products, protein and granola bar snacks, new socks and underwear.

Lifting Hands has complied a list of other products that are needed amid the relief efforts.

Smith said they are also working with members of the Utah C/10 Club, who have been volunteering to take truck loads of donations to Riverside, California, to be distributed to wildfire victims.
