Bear roams east Provo neighborhood, found and relocated
Provo Animal Control officers and the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources responded Wednesday to reports of a bear on the loose in Provo. Provo police spokeswoman Jana-Lee Holland said multiple residents reported sightings, including one captured on a ring camera, of a juvenile black bear walking in an east Provo neighborhood north of Splash Summit Water Park. After an afternoon bear hunt with Animal Control and Provo police and a drone team, the bear was spotted near 1600 North and 1450 East, Holland said.
