Firefighters extinguish Lehi brush fire near residential neighborhood
A brush fire ignited on the west side of the Jordan River on Tuesday morning in Lehi near a residential neighborhood but was contained by firefighters. Crews responded to the fire around 10 a.m. near 849 N. and 2670 West Street. Windy conditions spread the fire and made suppression efforts more difficult, but firefighters managed to contain the blaze and fully extinguish it by noon, Lehi City spokeswoman Jeanteil Livingston told the Daily Herald.
