Man charged in killing of Santaquin Officer ordered to stand trial
A man charged with aggravated murder in the 2024 killing of Santaquin Sgt. Bill Hooser has been ordered to stand trial. Michael Aaron Jayne is accused of intentionally driving his semitruck into Hooser during a traffic stop on May 5, 2024. He faces two charges of attempted aggravated murder, a first-degree felony, and one charge of aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, among 12 other charges.
