The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints missionary leader Elder W. Mark Bassett dies at 59
Elder W. Mark Bassett, the executive director of the Missionary Department and member of the General Authority Seventy, died Monday as a result of a traumatic brain injury, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced. Bassett, 59, was with his family in St. George when the incident occurred, the Church said. He had served in the General Authority Seventy since April 2016.
