Police identify man killed by suspected drunk driver in Springville
The Springville Police Department has identified the man hit and killed by an alleged drunk driver Wednesday evening as Matthew Daines. Police say Daines and his wife were out for a walk near 40 E and 400 South in Springville around 6:30 p.m. when a truck pulling a trailer veered off the road and began heading toward the couple. Daines reportedly pushed his wife out of harm's way, but the truck hit him, according to Springville police.
