Utah Board of Higher Education appoints new UVU president
Utah Valley University's next president has been chosen. The Utah Board of Higher Education voted Friday to appoint Jon Anderson, a Utah native and president of PennWest University, to the position. Anderson's selection finalized a national search conducted by the Presidential Search Committee and the Utah Board of High Education to replace Astrid S. Tuminez, who stepped down as president in May. The board said applicants were evaluated on their academic credentials, leadership, experience and community engagement.
