'Get out early:' Here's where the fish are in Utah County as angling season gets a head start

The fish may be biting earlier than normal this season in lakes and ponds across Utah, and there's a big reason why. Drought conditions have lowered water levels at the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources' 12 hatcheries — which rely on groundwater sources — leading to overcrowding, according to DWR hatchery coordinator Richard Hepworth.
