Shoshone — One of the greatest love stories of this century was placed on pause as we said “not goodbye, but see you later” to our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Judith Lynne (Brown) Nicholes. Lynne passed away on June 17, 2026, at Lincoln County Care Center in Shoshone, ID. She was 84. Lynne was born to Shirley Greiner Johnson and Donald Redford Brown on April 5, 1942, in Salt Lake City, UT. She served 18 months as a missionary in the West Central States Mission. She later married the love of her life, Michael Erin Nicholes, on October 9, 1964, in the Salt Lake Temple after a swift two-month courtship. Lynne and Mike raised seven children in a Gospel-centered home and served together as LDS Mission Leaders in Seoul, Korea from 1991-1994. She was a devoted wife, mother, business partner, quilter, and cherished grandmother to 28 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her loyal husband and best friend of 61 years, Mike, along with her children and extended family. Lynne is preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, and a son-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1460 N. Morton Drive, Salt Lake City, UT 84116. A viewing will be held (Family will receive friends at a viewing) one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 200 N St E, Salt Lake City, UT 84103. For those unable to attend in person, the service will be live-streamed. The livestream will be available on the day of the service. Arrangements are under the care of Wilks Funeral Homes.
