Man killed in Provo officer-involved shooting identified
Provo police released the identity of a man killed in an officer-involved shooting Saturday night. Dillon James Wright, 31, allegedly committed a domestic violence assault in public and was armed, prompting officers to respond to the scene near 2230 N. University Parkway at approximately 9:15 p.m. Provo police said two officers discharged their weapons and struck Wright. Officers performed medical aid on scene and Wright was transported to the hospital but did not survive, authorities said.
