Iron Fire grows to 13,000 acres in Utah and Juab counties; Eureka residents told to evacuate
Evacuations were ordered for Eureka as the Iron Fire grew to 13,323 acres Saturday night. U.S. 6 is closed at Elberta, and people are asked to avoid the area to allow Eureka residents to evacuate safely, state fire authorities said at 8:30 p.m. An evacuation center has been established at a Latter-day Saints chapel in Elbert at 11201 W. and 8400 South, and a second reception site is being coordinated.
